Acorn builds second African cryptocurrency city in Uganda

The Ugandan government allocates land for Acorn’s own cryptocurrency urban development project.

According to Cointelegraph, a media outlet specializing in cryptocurrency on the 6th (local time), Acorn, a Senegal-American rapper and businessman, is planning to start building another cryptocurrency city this time in Uganda, an East African country.

According to reports from Uganda’s flagship television network, NBS, the Ugandan government has already approved land allocation for the project.

Acorn is also building a much larger cryptocurrency city in Senegal, spending $6 billion on 2,000 acres (or about 3.12 square miles) with the Uganda project. Both future cities utilize Acon’s Stellar blockchain-based cryptocurrency, ACoin (AKN).

When asked if Uganda could fund a cryptocurrency city development project, he said, “If I put a cryptocurrency city there, they (Ugandans) know that they will find a way to afford it, because by doing so, I know Basically, when you create an opportunity, people learn from that opportunity, and through that opportunity, you are motivated.”
